During the holiday season, we would usually be too busy with parties, plans and getting gifts for our loved ones. It can be a stressful day for all of us, and everyone would be busy flocking stores and malls in order to get their family and friends the best gifts we can possibly hand out. Christmas is after all a time of giving, and it is but natural for us to get a little something for people who mean the most to us.

Those who have no time shopping and thinking of what to hand out to their friends and family can simply get some holiday gift baskets for their parents. This is the perfect way by which people can lessen the hassles of holiday shopping when everything seems to be very busy. This is the solution for those who have very limited time on their hands and a whole lot of things to do on their list.

My mom is a big fan of French design and I think that if given the chance she will transfer to France and live there. She has always been fascinated with the French culture and she even studied their language. She was able to got here once when she was still young and she really fell in love with it. I grew up with stories about that trip and how she wished that she could take all of us there one day.

But we eventually grew up and graduated from college and we weren’t able to go there. Now we don’t have the time for vacations too because of our busy schedules. But last week, when my mom celebrated her birthday, I gave her a pottery pitcher that had a beautiful design. I heard that it’s one way to have the French design inside your house. When she opened it she said thank you and I can see that she loved it very much.

Every year, I would usually hand out cookies and cakes which I personally bake in my kitchen. I make it a point that I have the time to do everything by hand, and personally hand out the presents I have created to family and friends days before Christmas. This year though, I have been hospitalized for a few weeks and would still need to recuperate.

Sadly, I would not be able to get the baking done in time so I would need to look for a great alternative for my goodies. I realized that I can simply opt for bakery gift baskets which I can hand out to friends and family. This way I would be able to follow the doctor’s orders to get some rest done and I would still be able to keep my loved ones happy. This is a great compromise for me this year!

A gift basket is a basket or other similar container that contains choice items to be given as a gift. This gift idea can be specifically tailored to a recipient’s interest or needs. An example of this would be Christian gift baskets that would include Christian gifts such as Christian music, Christian books, and even Christian candy. Each item in a Christian gift basket may even include a Scripture on inspirational verse. You can create your own Christian gift basket or buy one that is already made.

A variation of the Christian gift basket is the Sacramental basket which contains items related to the specific Sacrament. The OCIA, or Order of Christian Initiation for Adults gift basket is the perfect gift for the new Christian. It includes a coffee mug that reads “Joy in the Lord as you are reborn in Baptism, Confirmed in the Holy Spirit and share in the Eucharist”. It also comes with a matching note pad with hard plastic case, a votive candle, as well as a prayer card and pin among others.

Gifts are always given for a reason although there are very rare instances when someone hands you a gift and says “here, this is for you, just because”. Isn’t that heart warming? Gifts are usually given to celebrate an occasion or commemorate an event such as birthdays, anniversaries, mothers’ or fathers’ day. It can be a celebration of holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving. These events usually require that gifts be given to the celebrant.

Christian gifts are given for very special occasions. They are meant to remind people about their Christian faith. Some Christian gifts are meant to be worn such as bracelets with angel charms that will make a young girl very happy. Others are meant as home decor. Examples are plaques offering reminders of commitment to the teachings of Christianity.

I am not what you would consider as a religious person. Of course I say my prayers every now and then, and I never forget to thank my God for all the blessings that he bestows on me and my family. I even own a prayer cross that was given to me as a gift by my mom. This beautiful prayer cross is layered in sterling silver with genuine crystals. I understand from my wife that she purchased this prayer cross online through the Internet.

This prayer cross reveals a prayer hidden in the center stone every time I hold it up to the light. It literally keeps the Lord’s prayer close to my heart. According to my mom, this prayer cross costs just two monthly payments of $19.99 plus $7.99 for shipping and handling. It also comes complete with a gift box and a certificate of authenticity, as well as a matching chain layered in sterling silver.

In the same way that we choose people to whom we forward religious messages to, we also choose people to whom we give religious gifts to. We have to admit that people differ. They have unique ways of practicing their religion. There will be some who will appreciate getting a religious statue specially if they have a dedicated place on which to display it. Others will be turned off if they feel that religious items are not decorative pieces.

What is the right way to deal with Christian religious gift home décor? I think the right way is the way gifts should be chosen in the first place. We don’t just randomly pick a generic gift for people we love. We try to understand their likes and dislikes. We want to know what will make them happy; what they can use. If we do this, we will know if he person will appreciate a religious gift or not.

When you need to give somebody a gift you go to the mall and are confused by the endless stream of products, all worthy of being given as a gift. It can take time before you can decide on what is appropriate. When you need to give somebody a religious gift, you only need to go to a religious store and you will find everything that you need. So, why waste your time browsing over items that will be easily forgotten in a few days or weeks. Go to a religious store instead and choose a gift that will instil some religiosity on the person you are giving it to.

A Catholic religious store will have various religious gifts like rosaries, religious jewelry, movies, books and more. You will find religious items that can be used to decorate homes and offices. Some religious art are not exactly statues and paintings that will entice a person to kneel down and pray. They are works of art that not only religious people will want to display in their homes. Visit a Catholic religious store and be surprised by what they offer.

The cross is usually presented in a lot of different styles. Some people use it as personal jewelry while others are seen on top of church buildings or cemetery plots. Catholic crosses are usually shown in crucifix form, with a figure of Christ on it. However, Protestants depict the cross without the body of Christ because they believe that it best represents the resurrection.

One of the important Christian celebrations is the Feast of the Cross. The Exaltation of the Cross is one of twelve great feasts in Eastern Orthodoxy. This commemorates the consecration of the basilica on the site where the original cross of Jesus was reportedly discovered in 326 AD.

Sometimes the most beautiful jewelry pieces are the simplest ones. You can lavish your ring with diamonds until it looks garish. A woman who wears a necklace bedecked with stones must have a long slim neck. She must also wear no other oversized jewelry otherwise, she would look like Christmas tree. In the 90s the mantra of fashion was minimalist and back to basics. Pendants were mostly Christian crosses and hearts, bracelets were simple chains.

Christian crosses are very popular among Christian youngsters. Scapulars, rosaries and other religious icons have crossed over to the mainstream. We can all blame Madonna for wearing them as fashion accessories back in the 80s. Christian crosses come in all forms: you can get crosses for your desk, your wall and your neck. This is one symbol that will truly never go out of style.
